As a child, Greg Skol immersed himself in drawing, books, and music. At the age of 8, he made a project of studying and drawing from the Encyclopedia Britannica, which he read in its entirety over a two-year period. To this day, his highly detailed art is informed by those childhood experiences. Skol later studied at The School of Visual Arts, The Art Students' League, and the Printmaking Workshop, all in New York City. He would go on to live and work for a time in Los Angeles and San Francisco, eventually settling in Santa Fe in 1990. Santa Fe has been his home ever since.

Skol's paintings have been widely collected for decades. They reside in numerous museum collections, including The Albuquerque Museum (Albuquerque, New Mexico), The Museum of the Southwest (Midland, Texas), The Springfield Museum of Art (Springfield, Massachusetts), and The Knoxville Museum of Art (Knoxville, Tennessee), among others. Many publications have featured Skol's art-- New American Paintings, Art Journey New Mexico, Southwest Art, American Art Collector, and Design and Architecture are a few.

We are pleased to present the "Paper Towns" and "Places Between Places" series by Greg Skol.
