We are pleased to show the wonderfuly diverse paintings of Christy Henspetter, who is skiled in watercolor and oil, conceptual art and contemporary Imprressionism.

Christy on her conceptual Color Journals: "I started on the summer solstice of 2021. Every day, at three different times of day, for 360 consecutive days I mixed and painted hues on seven pages—eventually creating 2520 random and unique colors. The Color Journal series is my original concept. It represents meditative moments that aim to evoke time through a simple, repeated gesture."

Christy on her Impressionist-informed work: "Art has taken me many places. I have painted on the top of Huayna Picchu, on beaches of Hawaii, by canals in France, on ledges on Japan with snow monkeys, and with marine iguanas in the Galapagos.Nature calls me, and most especially here in Santa Fe, my home over the past thirty years. It's about nature and the special light that tells its stories.All my experiences continuously refresh my understandings and expressions of essential forms. This, in turn, supports what enlivens me: luminescence and its magical effects on the land and the water."
