Convergence Gallery takes great pride in introducing the ceramic art of Ojibwa artist Patricia L. Bradley--a collection of mixed-media tabletop sculptures as well as a series of masks, loosely modeled on the faces of the artist's daughters, called "Two Little Indian Girls."

Bradley says of her heritage: "I come from the lost generations of Native Americans. My father was part of the Native American Indian Assimilation Act. He was a proud member of the Ojibwa Nation but sadly he was removed from his family and homelands at an early age. He also got lost...Despite times of sadness we were a people of great joy and pride."

Combining a diversity of techniques and media--wax casting, found metals, clay and glazes, iron oxides, nickel and copper oxides, kiln firings, wood firings, and welding--these pieces display a fusion of smooth and rough, playful and sad, Earth and Spirit. They carry a wild and joyous energy, and speak to the power of persistence in the face of difficulty.
