Convergence Gallery takes great pride in representing the extraordinary art of third-generation New Mexican Angus Macpherson, renowned for his stunningly beautiful paintings of atmosphere in the high desert. These paintings celebrate the dance of light and shadow, calm and turmoil, immutability and change--the unfolding enigma posed by sky and land.

Macpherson's art resides in an impressive list of public and corporate collections, including Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York, the Great Plains Art Collection in Lincoln, Nebraska, and The Albuquerque Museum. The paintings have been featured in three art books and have been the subject of numerous, very favorable reviews. And yes, they have found their way into countless private collections internationally. Curator Martha Kennedy has written: "His art highlights the mystery of nature and slows the rush of time." We could not agree more. And in this frantic age, paintings that "slow the rush of time," by their attention to nuance, and by their sheer beauty, are a gift to the human spirit.
